This fine, decorative 19th-century set is an illustrated printing of 'Works of Oliver Goldsmith' compiled by Peter Cunningham. This Cunningham edition of Goldsmith's works was published in ten volumes, beautifully bound as part of a limited print run. This particular example is numbered no. 73 of only 100 sets!

His grandfather, John Simpson Gray (1841–1906) was an original investor in, and the first president of, the Ford Motor Company; his father, David Gray Sr. (1869-1928), is credited as being the company's original treasurer.
