G.P. Putnam's Sons, New York No date [ca. 1899]. Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Mohawk Edition. Six volumes sold as set. Maroon cloth boards with gilt spine title (slightly faded) and gilt facsimile of Cooper's signature on front. Gilt on top edge (soiled); other edges trimmed smooth. Two-color title pages under tissue facing illustration frontispiece on all volumes. Minimal shelf wear to boards, spine ends, and corners. Edges and leaves show slight age-tanning; otherwise clean. Bindings are tight on all volumes. Front and/or back boards of several volumes show damage from unknown liquid source (see photos); also marked below by *(front), ** (back), or *** (front and back). Owner bookplate on front pastedowns: 'Owen Shoemaker,' who was the owner of the historic bookbinder supplies company J. L Shoemaker & Co. of Philadelphia, established 1880-1954. Volumes included are: Deerslayer**, Pioneers, The Redskins, The Pilot**, Prairie*, and The Spy***. Size: 8vo 5.5 X 8.75"
