A limited edition complete set of illustrated works by the noted Alexandre Dumas, including his popular work 'The Count of Monte Cristo', bound in quarter morocco. Limited edition. Number 567 out of 1000. Thirty-two volume complete set. Bound in quarter morocco with marbled paper to the boards. Gilt details and raised bands to the spines. Each volume is illustrated with a frontispiece, many in colour, and two monochrome plates with the exception of 'Chevalier D" Harmental' which has been bound without plates and an incorrect plate list due to binding error otherwise, collated complete. This set of features the works of noted French author Alexandre Dumas. Dumas is best known for his popular adventure novel 'The Count of Monte Cristo', which is included in this set. The set also includes other popular works such as 'The Three Musketeers', 'Twenty Years After' and 'La Comtesse De Charny'.With a small pamphlet included directing the reader on how to handle books. Bound in quarter morocco with marbled paper to the boards. Externally smart with fading to the spines, rubbing to the tail of the spines and joints, marks to the boards, rubbing to the extremities with slight loss to the leather to the heads to all but 'Count of Monte Cristo Vol II', two closed tears to the leather to the head of the spine to 'Count of Monte Cristo Vol I' and closed tears to 'Chevalier D'harmental' to the head of the joints with slight lifting to the spine. Internally, firmly bound with past owner's signature and stamp to the front blank. Pages clean and generally bright with very light age toning to the extremities and the odd minor mark. The odd unopened page. Very Good
