1674 1ed Henry Hammond English BIBLE Catechism Anglican FOLIO Church Government

Henry Hammond was a 17th-century English royalist preacher known for his commentary and edition of the Bible. He also wrote numerous sermons and tracts, which were first published here in his complete works. This volume from the 1674 edition includes Hammond's 'Practical Catechism' as well as many of the commentaries on the catechism. It also features 'The Reasonableness of Christian Religion', a treatise 'Of Sinnes of Weakness of Wilfulness', and Hammond's own views of the struggle of Church and Government.

These works were some of the most important pioneering in Anglican theology helping influence figures like Richard Hooker and Lancelot Andrewes.
