About This Item

Subtitled Conversations with Tony Hillerman.Fine minus, unread book that has small abrasion on back board, in a Near Fine slipcase that has mild shelf wear and some light soiling. Book bound in greenish beige boards with quarter leather spine and gold lettering. Slipcase is also greenish beige. This was going to be Bulow's "super limited", i.e. lettered edition. However he was not happy with the book's appearance and used the 26 or so copies as proofs, review copies, and presentation copies. This copy states 2/2 Review Copy on limitation page, which is signed by Hillerman, Franklin, and Bulow. Book contains a long introduction by Bulow, Bulow's Interview of Hillerman, an essay by Hillerman titled "Mystery, Country Boys, and the Big Reservation," and a Jim Chee short story, "The Witch, Yazzie and the Nine of Clubs." There are numerous, full page B/W illustrations by Franklin scattered throughout the book.
