About This Item
Portland, OR: Fredrik Averin, 2014. First printing. Square broadside, 20 x 20 inches, printed silkscreen in two colors on Mohawk Via 80 lb. cover stock, in an edition of forty-two copies. Bilingual English/Swedish text; typography and translation by the publisher. New.
A poem interpreted through the interplay of language, space, and color: the English text is printed in sky blue, the Swedish in warm red, and the three words in the poem that are, in fact, pronounced exactly alike in both languages are overprinted in the two base colors. An ingenious, gorgeous, and visually arresting rendering.
