About This Item
London: J. Curwen & Sons, 1900. Pamphlet. 12p., sewn with original thread still functioning well, 8x5 inch plain printed wraps. Covers have a couple smudges and a penciled warning about two pencil marks in-text: a bracket on p. 8 and a snide remark at p.10. Sounds rather fun! Stage directions include marching round, with potentials for drum-beating. Cover text lists the short cast of characters: St. George, St. Andrew, St. Patrick, Columbia (Britannia's Cousin America), Primo (Prime Minister) and Britannia herself. Welding the satellite countries (child by child) into a big stick, should any warfare be threatened - and tap extra "Anglo-Saxons" when needed.
