In the publisher's original cloth binding with gilt detail. With a frontispiece and seventy monochrome photographic plates. Collated complete. A guide to gardening and flowers, divided by each month of the year, by Gertrude Jekyll. Jekyll was a popular British horticulturist, garden designer, writer and artist. She has been described as 'a premier influence in garden design' by British and American gardening experts. In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with some shelf wear to the edges. Fading to the spine and edges of the front board. Age-toning to the paste-downs and free endpapers. Internally, binding slightly strained to the half title page but otherwise firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with the occasional mark and some age-toning to the edges. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
