London 1948 First ed. 9 3/4 x 7 1/4", 143 p., Basically a "how-to" book, complemented with wonderful examples of wood engravings by reknowned artists such as Thomas Bewick, Joan Hassall, Robert Gibbings, Agnes Miller Parker, John Farleigh, Noel Rooke, Blair Hughes-Stanton, Gertrude Hermes, Iain Macnab, Clifford Webb, Fedor Konstantinov, G. Favorsky, John Buckland-Wright, John O'Connor, Georgii Echeistov, and Nora S. Unwin. Dust jacket is mostly intact. Has a closed tear at foot, a few chips (especially at head), and a few edge tears. Inner flap has not been price-clipped. A nice example of this book.
