First Edition; Later Printing. Hardcover. Green pictorial cloth. Decorative endpapers. Many black and white illustrations by the author, as well as three color "fashion plates". Library of Congress number 53-6210. An uncommon children's mystery about a little girl named Debby who finds a letter in an old attic trunk written by her great-great-great-grandmother when she was a little girl. The letter states that the ancestor hid her fabulous fashion doll and outfits in a secret hiding place at her New Hampshire farm, intending to return for them soon. Instead, another attic letter states that the family went and stayed in England, so Debby plans to look for this doll treasure when she and her family moves to the same family farm in New Hampshire. ; 87 pages .
