Bright red cloth covers, sharp and distinct gilt lettering to spine. Published in First English Edition state by Rizzoli, New York, 1990, with translations (and editing) provided by Anthony Parton. 248 pp. Volume contains scholarly apparatus in the form of, e.g., notes, index, and bibliography. Nearly 300 illustrations, 83 in full, glorious color. Scholarly introductions to each chapter provided by M.N. Yablonskaya on the growth and development of the women artists in Russia's New Age and into the Soviet Revolution, including Maria Yakunchikova, Anna Golubkina, Rinaldo Serebryakova, Natalya Goncharova, Olga Rozanova, Lyubov Popova, Alexandra Exter, Varvara Stepanova, Nadezhda Udaltsova, Antonina Sofronova, Eva Rozengolts-Levina, Nina Simonovich-EfimovaSarra Lebedeva, and Vera Mukhina.
