Hodder and Stoughton Limited, 1111. Hardcover. Acceptable. No Edition Stated. 263 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth. Black and white photographic plates within. Noticeable cracking to hinges and gutters. Boards are slightly loose with a shaky binding throughout. Plate facing page 168 is detached but still present. Front free endpaper removed. Pages have mild tanning with occasional speckles of foxing. More pronounced to text block edges and towards the start and end of the book. Large tear to plate facing page 168. Boards have noticeable edge wear with corner bumping. Visible tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Noticeable splits to spine ends and corners causing cloth to be frayed. Gilt lettering to spine is darkened. Visible water staining to boards with noticeable markings. Book is slightly bowed and forward leaning.
