First edition 1st printing, Very Good to Near Fine book that has minor binding flaw with boards slightly misaligned toward back of book leaving title etc. on spine off-center and shifted toward back of book, also with slight bit of soiling or rubbing at bottom of spine, in a Near Fine jacket with light edge wear and mild rubbing. This copy inscribed on the half title page for Barbara, in Spanish, signed by Cisneros and dated 19.4.91, Las Cruces. Laid-in is a brochure for the 1991 Puerto del Sol Writing Conference in Las Cruces, at New Mexico State University. The schedule indicates that Cisneros gave a Fiction Seminar on the afternoon of April 19, 1991, apparently where this book was signed.
