Fleming H. Revell Company. Fair. 1901. Hardcover. Limited edition of 100 on hand-made paper, signed by author and numbered. This is #22. Illustrated by "studies from life" (ie. , photographs) by William Buckingham Dyer. Binding is weak, with webbing showing just before frontispiece. Pages unmarked and barely aged. Top inch of flyleaf has been torn off (probably ex-owner name) , and front endpages are stained as well. Cloth cover (with gilt relief design and pastedown portrait) is soiled but only a little worn at corners. Spine title clear. ; Signed by Author .
