About This Item
From the back cover: "The game was over. The Chiefs were champions of the world and even the 23-7 score did not fully reflect the decisiveness of their victory over the Minnesota Vikings. This was a defeat the National League could not and did not explain away. After 10 years the A.F.L. had come of age."
From the front dust jacket flap: "The story of the Kansas City Chiefs," says veteran sportswriter Joe McGuff, "is also the story of the American Football League and of Lamar Hunt, the man who persevered against all adversity until he and his team had won it all."
Book - Good condition. It appears that the dark blue/navy cloth bound boards sustained some water damage at some point. The spine and back have "bled blue" into some of the pages at the spine and bottom; however, it is not visible on the reading pages, only on the closed book pages. Please see photos. The text is clean and binding is good. There are several black & white photo sections. A good reading copy.
Dust Jacket - Fair condition. Some of the water stain and blue bleed is noticeable on the back cover. There are many chips and small tears
278 pages including Appendix.
