In addition to being a fisherman, he was a sometimes smuggler, and most importantly a practitioner of black magic and bush medicine, in which he offers knowledge of magic and healing - not just as isolated cures but as integral part of his culture. in addition to the autobiography itself, this includes an extensive section of conversations with the author and her introduction and conclusions.
