About This Item
Melbourne: Lothian, 1916. Print. Very good overall. Two plates from Outhwaite's masterpiece "Elves and Fairies", printed in a limited edition of 1500 copies. The work contained 15 tipped-in color plates and 30 tipped-in black & white plates. The images are printed in densely black ink on matte finish coated heavy paper stock. On the verso, there is a slim adhesive line at the top, where it would have been hinged onto the page. The two image both have small margins, as issued and are untrimmed.
"Wind in the Ti-Tree", (would face p.13), 6 1/8 x 10" (and) "The First of the Fairies (The English Snowdrop)", (would face p. 87), 7 x 9 3/8". The Ti Tree image has a small corner fold that has broken the densely blackness with a slim white line.
