First volume: contains no. 21 and 22 of series of 24 books. Contains stories by series creator Wilson and Alexander Leighton who revised this edition. Historical and folk tales of the Highlands, has glossary appended for use of Non-Scottish folk. Nicely bound in tan leather on spine, leather tips to edges, brown cloth covers. Nice spine has raised bands, red and black labels with gilt decorations. Marbled eps and page edges. Some soiling on covers, and slight wear on leather tips, but spine is unscuffed and has very nice patina. Attractive little volume of folk tales and stories of Scotland and Border country. Stories are supposed to be both real and fancible. Second Volume: Vol 1-2 bound as one. Tan leather spine and tips on brown boards. Raised spine bands, red and black labels, gilt decorations on spine. Marbled eps and page edges. Has some stains on covers, not affecting attractive spine. Size: 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
