A biography for older children and young adults of one the greatest baseball players of all time. When he was called up by the Giants in 1951, he was rookie of the year, and 1954 after returning from 2 years in the Army during the Korean War, he was MVP - and is still known for "the catch" in the first game of the World series that year.
