About This Item

New York: Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 1979. First edition. Hardcover. SIGNED. Square quarto [28.5 cm] Red cloth over boards with a gilt stamped title on the spine, and the artist's name in large embossed letters on the front cover. The covers are just a bit rubbed and scuffed, and there are several very small, faint stains on the top and bottom edges of the text block. The dust jacket is lightly soiled, and has a number of closed tears in the edges. The top fore edge corner of the jacket's front inside flap is clipped, however the price is still intact. A volume marking the fiftieth anniversary of William Steig's association with The New Yorker. Signed by William Steig on the page listing his other works.
