A survey of the life and work of English artist William Henry Pyne, who made his debut exhibition at the Royal Academy in 1790. In 1803, Pyne embarked on the publication of his work "Microcosm," documenting various groups of figures including workers, villagers, and scenes of 18th-century life. The book includes a foreword by Brian Allen.
