NY: Scribners, 1918. First Edition . Hardcover. Very good+ lacking a dust jacket. Lower front corner bumped; slight wear at spine edges. The front endpaper has a crease and small tear at the top corner. Color frontispiece, over 70 photographs and foldout map at rear. The author was a field naturalist for the American Museum of Natural History. One of the expeditions described involved Theodore Roosevelt in 1913 and 1914.
