Boston: Houghton, Mifflin and Company, 1882. Hardcover. Good/No Dust Jacket. Later Houghton, Mifflin printing. Red cloth cover with wear and rubbing. Spine ends frayed and corners bumped. Penciled name and marks to blank end pages. Binding sound. Text and pages clean and intact otherwise. Plum Adirondack Bibliography number 7244. Please see image. 226 pages. (The first edition of this title had 176 pages. This and other later Houghton, Mifflin editions added two chapters. All Houghton - whether Houghton Osgood or Houghton Mifflin - editions were issued in varying cover colors - red, green, brown - but all with the same blind stamped design. The 1878 1st editons I have seen have the additional gilt design along the top and lower front edges.)
