New York: The Viking Press, (1983). First edition, this copy signed in ink by Westlake at the ffep. Octavo (9" x 6"), [11] & 2 - 191 pages. Publisher's black paper over boards backed in gilt-lettered white cloth, in pictorial dust jacket.
Slight sunning at the upper margin, otherwise fine in near fine dust with a 1/4 inch tear at the top edge of the rear panel.
The fifth title in Westlakes's John Dortmunder series. Westlake, a three-time Edgar Award winner, was named a Grand Master in 1993 by the Mystery Writers of America, the society's highest honor.
