About This Item

London: S. Buckley, 1722. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. An extensive (possibly complete) collection of all the essential works documenting the failed Jacobite uprising of 1722, including the trial and execution of Layer and others. Full contemporary panelled calf rebacked with spine and corners renewed. Thus a very firm, tight copy with strong joints. Contents clean and tidy with no worming, no pen-marks and no loose leaves, just a few pages chipped at the corners. Not from a library so no such stamps or labels. Size: Folio (360mm x 230mm x 55mm). Comprises 15 separate works each with its own pagination. Thus a large book in very good shape offered for sale at a reasonable price.
