Stieg Larsson died in 2004 at the age of fifty. He had just delivered the third instalment of his Millennium Trilogy to his publishers' and died of a massive heart attack soon after. The Millennium Trilogy – The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire & The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest and their mesmerising main character Lisbeth Salander – became a posthumous phenomenon. The author's life was extraordinarily multidimensional – photographer, political activist, graphic designer, journalist and editor of science-fiction magazines. But, is reporting on neo-Nazi organisations lead to death threats. The book is not only a look at the authors' life but of his work as well.
