There has been a lot of controversy about the case - causing a quiet release of Truscott from prison to live under an assumed identity. Trent has attempted with Truscott to bring new light to the case hoping to clear Steven's name. August 28, 2007 the appeals court of Ontario ruled that their had been a gross injustice done and Truscott was cleared of all charges. .
