Published by the author, (1897).. (1897).. Good. - Octavo, maroon cloth titled in gilt. The covers are bumped. The edges of the front cover are a bit faded & there is some dampstaining to its bottom corner. 54 pages. Illustrated in black & white with a portrait frontispiece with a tissue guard & with textual illustrations & diagrams. The book is cracked at the first text page. There is some soiling to the title page & the pages are very slightly rippled, probably from humidity. Good. <p>The book is an argument supporting the long held assertion that Cyrus McCormick invented the reaper.
