White Sewing Machine Company, 1932. Paperback. Very Good/Very Good. 932. Unbound paper in original mailing envelopes. Correspondence course for the home sewer, parts 1-8. This guide to dressmaking. given in ten parts,  granted a certificate upon completion.  In addition to dressmaking techniques the book also includes color advice and styling by figure type short and stout, tall and stout, tall and stately, middle aged and stout, boyish,  or tall and slender.  Like many products of this time it emphasizes the importance of the cult of feminity with philosophical phrases such as  âone owes it not only to herself but to her family to be attractively dressed in the home.â  Intended to be placed in a binder the pages are pre-punched and in fine condition with uniform age toning.  The envelopes are chipped, ripped, and stained.  Overall,  in Very Good condition.
