Crown octavo, [8]pp. publisher's advertisements, contemporary name in ink on front free endpaper, very good in original blue cloth with chipped pictorial dustwrapper (small patch of abrasion on upper panel) priced at 7/6 on spine.
First edition. Novel set in the Northern Territory: 'When Martin Owen, a prospector, died, he left to his daughter Carol and to young Maurice Wynne, a priceless map of a secret plateau in North Australia, supposed to contain platinum— white gold. But there were others who knew, or had guessed at Owen's secret, and the quest of the inheritors was fraught with danger and excitement, for they found themselves pitted against the brains of as thorough a pair of blackguards as you could wish.'
