Size octavo, 205 pages including index. Blue cloth covered boards with gilt lion and star vignette to the front cover and gilt titles to the spine. Condition very good, corners hinges and spine ends rubbed, spine slightly sunned, hinges a bit loose, offsetting to end-papers, spots to first and last few pages, a previous owner has written some genealogy on the front end-paper and notes on the rear end-paper else contents clean. With frontispiece portrait. "Compiled from the Hitherto Unpublished Correspondence of Elizabeth, Viscountess Melbourne, and Emily Lamb, Countess Cowper, Afterwards Viscountess Palmerston
