Folded pamphlet consisting of a single sheet accordion-folded to make 8pp; illustrated cover (portrait of John Brown) and three photographic text illustrations. Printed in black on thin white stock; Fine, apparently unread copy.

Brief history of U.S. class conflict, the rise of working-class people's movements, and the growth of the modern Civil Rights movement. One of several SDS leaflets in similar format, offering primers on left perspectives on current events, distributed on campuses around this time, all of which are surprisingly scarce.
