San Francisco: Farmworkers Emergency Relief, N.d. [ca 1991]. Single sheet, 11" x 8-1/2"; photostatically printed on both sides of a sheet of yellow copier bond. Slight wrinkles to margins; Very Good. Fundraising broadside to assist California farmworkers following the disastrous December freeze of 1990, which wiped out 70 percent of that year's citrus crop and left tens of thousands of farmworkers in the San Joaquin Valley out of work. The campaign was founded by Gloria La Riva, a 2016 and 2020 U.S. Presidential candidate under the banner of the Peace and Freedom Party and the Party for Socialism and Liberation.

Issued by the short-lived "free-form radio station" KTAO, founded, owned, and managed by Lorenzo W. Milan. Described as "essentially controlled anarchy in radio" (http://www.afana.org/ktao.htm). This publication provides a "manual" for people who own 15-year-old Buicks and a schedule for the week of May 19-25, including an interview with a candidate for Sheriff of Santa Clara County, James Geary (Sheriff, 1970-1978).

Pamphlet collecting two articles - "Capital and the Left," and "Counter-planning from the kitchen," the latter addressing the issue of women's wages for housework, originally written in reply to an article that appeared in the magazine Liberation.

Folded pamphlet consisting of a single sheet accordion-folded to make eight panels; pictorial cover and three photographic text illustrations. Printed in black on thin white stock; a couple of small nicks to one edge, else a Fine, apparently unread copy. A timeline of U.S. imperial interests in Cuba from 1900 to 1959. One of several SDS leaflets in similar format, offering primers on left perspectives on current events, distributed on campuses around this time, all of which are surprisingly scarce.

Oakland: East Bay International Socialists, [1972]. First Edition. Illustrated handflyer (28x21.5cm.) printed in black on goldenrod stock. Old mail folds, some chipping and tiny closed tears along extremities, the whole rather wrinkled, else About Very Good. Postally used on verso, date based on postmark. Flyer advertising a lecture delivered by International Socialist and "specialist in American capitalism" Charles Leinenweber, perhaps inspired by the 1970 book of the same title by Seymour Melman. Flyer illustrated with two simple drawings, of a pentagon with a dollar sign in the middle, and "IS," the "I" a clenched fist. Not separately catalogued in OCLC as of December, 2018.

House organ of the The Haymarket, a socialist community co-operative bookstore and coffee house located on Parkview Street in Los Angeles. Publication details uncertain, though this issue announces an expansion "to include fiction, poetry, criticism, and anything else of interest." Cover illustration by Joel Andreas, taken from his full-length comic book "The Incredible Rocky." Other contributions include poetry by Victor Valle, Carlisle Schnitzer, others.

Horizontal fold at center, a few tiny tears, postmarked at upper margin of front wrapper, with address label of the Liberation News Service to same, and a few pencil notations in text; Very Good+. A New Left monthly paper produced by the Newark Free Community, containing coverage of the Korea crisis, the Vietnam anti-war effort, African Americans in the military, the draft, a "University Complicity" column, coverage of the SNCC struggle and the Orangeburg Massacre, etc. Reprints a portion of Allen Ginsberg's "Wichita Vortex Sutra.

[Madison, Wisconsin], 1967. First Edition. Diptych comprised of two original silkscreen posters, each approximately 60x44cm, printed in red or black on card stock. Faint finger soil and marginal wear else Near Fine. Each signed and dated in pencil, lower right. William Weege was an integral figure in the golden age of printmaking in Madison, Wisconsin, where he first began learning the techniques of both commercial and artistic printmaking as an undergraduate. While working part-time as a film stripper for the local Litho Publications, Weege was also producing protest posters which he put up around campus, though "Students and others in the community found the posters so appealing that they were removed as fast as they were put up" (Colescott, p. 114), leading Weege to discover that he could make money from his artistic output. This was the next-to-last issue, and includes an apology from the editor for the magazine's increasingly irregular appearance. Rear cover portrait of Muhammad Ali, captioned, "K.O. racism - Muhammad Ali the real world Champ.
