(oblong); 79 - [1] pp. Photographic covers in full colour with fold over flaps on the fore edges. Profusely illustrated with black and white photographs anda two page map spread of the Great Lakes. Beaton began his career on the Great Lakes in 1919 and retired in 1967 having worked for Canada Steamship Lines (CSL) and serving as a master for more than half of that time. Previous owner's address label on the first blank page, otherwise a very clean interior with a solid binding. The covers show mild edge wear with a general though light age toning of the cover margins. .
