UK: Blackie, 1910. New Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. New Edition Circa 1910.Incvludes the very rare wrapper. The first we have come across in commerce. Undated. Board Design by Ethel Larcombe who was a leading book designer and was commissioned by Talwin Morris, the Art Director at Blackie and Sons to design these boards between 1983 and 1909. Talwin Morris was a leading influence in the Glasgow Style, associating with the likes of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Margaret MacDonald and Frances and Herbert MacNair. Colour plate. Book is very good and quite bright. Edges lightly rubbed in places. Contents good. Foxing and age toning to pages. The wrapper is good++ and quite bright. Quite age tined with loss to spine tips/edges. Edges rubbed and nicked and with odd closed tears. More images can be taken upon request. Ref 17491
