Black coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Photographic dustup with black, gray and orange coloured titles to the front panel and black and white coloured titles to the back strip. "This book records, often in his own words, the steps by which Darwin worked out his theory of Natural Selection a key to biological evolution." -- from front fold over panel blurb. Rubbing to the back strip corners and to the book corners. Some marks to the book panels with light browning to the text block edges and foxing also present. Offset tanning to the endpapers with age toning of the pages. Creasing to the dustwrapper edges with small tears to the top edge of the rear panel. Rubbing to the dustwrapper panels with fading of the back strip. Numerous stains can be seen to the lower edge of the spine and rear panel. Foxing and staining to the verso.
