The items offered included: The Imhof Prayerhook, Antwerp, 1511, with 49 miniatures by Simon Bening; a Flemish Psalter with15 miniatures and over 100 marginal grotesques, c.1300; Books of Hours, including one with the device of Antoine Verard and over 500 large and small miniatures, Paris, c1510, a Book of Hours of Sarum Use with 49 miniatures by the Bedford Master, Paris, c.1425, a Dutch Book of Hours with 14 miniatures by the Zwolle Bible Master, Arnhem, c.1475, and a remarkable oval-shaped Book of Hours with mystical miniatures by the Doheny Master; Books of Hours illuminated in Utrecht, Liege, Bruges, Paris, Rheims, Rouen, Amiens, Florence and Venice; Psalters, Breviaries, Antiphoners, and Graduals; medieval texts including works by Usuardus, Petrits Riga, Johannes Marchisinus, Bartolomo da San Goncordia, Petrus de Crescentiis, Francesco Petrarca, Petrus Rosenheim, and Raymund Lull; classical texts, including a Suetonius and three manuscripts of Cicero; fragments of uncial manuscripts including the earliest known manuscript of part of St.Paul's Epistle to the Romans, 3rd century, seven leaves from a very early Coptic Psalter, and four leaves from an eighth-century medical manuscript from the eastern Frankish kingdom (now Switzzerland); eighteen full-page miniatures from an Armenian Gospel Book, Lake Van, sixteenth century; single leaves and cuttings including illuminated miniatures by or from the workshops of Jacquemart de Hesdin, the Boucicaut Master, the Master of Otto van Moerdrecht, the Master of Edward IV, Simon Bening, Girolamo dai Libri, and Attavante degli Attavanti; and miniatures of the Lancoon Group, c.1506, and of an elephant, c.1300.
