Volume itself has red or maroon covers with sharp gilt lettering and borders on the spine; the front cover has a sharp gilt border and a very sharp lakeside press emblem in the middle of the front cover. The top of the pages are gilt, the outer edge of the pages are deckled. The work comes with a business card from the Lakeside press specifically "With the Compliments of the Season/ Gaylord Donnelley/". 181 pages, including an index, plus a fifteen page historical introduction by Dr. Quaife. The lightest of wear at the tail of the spine and corners. No underlining, no highlighting, no bookplates, no owner names, not ex-libris, no folded or dogeared pages, no smudges. A quite nice, clean copy; available for immediate shipment, carefully packed!
