About This Item

New York, NY: Lothrop, Lee, and Shepard Books, 1990. First edition. Hardcover. Very good/very good, price clipped. Quarto in landscape format (standard size). SIGNED and inscribed by the author on the half title page with ink drawings of musical notes and Frog dancing with flies on either side. Slight wear to edges and corners of dj and boards. Dj is clipped. Watson takes the old Appalachian and English folk song (which actually probably started in Scotland) and tells the story of Frog's courtship of Miss Mouse in verse, with her own illustrations adding to the tale. Uncommon signed.
