About This Item
Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1945. First edition of James Hilton's later novel. Octavo, original cloth. Signed by the author on the front free endpaper, "Sincerely, James Hilton." Near fine in a very good dust jacket with a few small chips to the spine. Jacket illustration by George Picken. So Well Remembered is the story of a remarkable woman and her sinister influence over three men; of clashing wills and a struggle for mastery that spans generations. The novel was adapted into a film of the same name, narrated by Hilton, in 1947 starring John Mills, Martha Scott, and Trevor Howard.
