Like New/Very Good. 9x7x0. 1980 Blandford Press (Poole, Dorset, England), 7 5/8 x 10 inches tall yellow buckram cloth hardcover in publisher's unclipped dust jacket, gilt lettering to spine, copiously illustrated with black-and-white photographs and drawings, [6], 172 pp. A near fine copy - clean, bright and unmarked - in a like dust jacket which is nicely preserved and displayed in a clear archival Brodart sleeve. ~ZZ~ [2.0P] While using the name of Malborough to give expression to a period of history loosely identified as the early part of the 18th century, the author deals with the weapons and equipment of all the main armies engaged in the War of the Spanish Succession - the English, French, Dutch, Austrian and the various German states. The comprehensive text is complemented by more than fifty line drawings of weapons, equipment, tactical formations, drill exercises, vehicles and clothing, specially created by the well-known artist John Mollo, as well as prints taken from contemporary painting, tapestries and engravings.
