New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1957. Hardcover. Very Good Plus/Very Good Minus. Irv Docktor. Vintage Full Size Tweed Cloth Cover Hardback Book with Dust Jacket (Not The Book Club Edition). Book itself is in Very Good Plus condition with a tight binding and clean crisp pages. Book appears to be Unread and Unused! There is a short inscription at the top of the page across from the title page. No other writing or markings inside or outside of the book. Outside tweed cloth covers are nice with some minor soiling to the back cover and some minor corner wear. Dust Jacket shows some minor soiling with some scuffing to the back cover and some edge chipping primarily at the top and bottom of the outside spine. Dust Jacket is now covered by a new clear mylar cover. DJ is price clipped. Book has come from a private collection and is NOT a Book Club Edition. We Were There Books are easy to read and provide exciting, entertaining stories, based upon true historic events. Each story is checked for factual accuracy by an outstanding authority on this particular phase of history. Though written simply enough for young readers, they make interesting reading for boys and girls well into their teens. One of our family's favorite series! The story of the memorable Battle For Bataan!
