New York: W. W. Norton & Company, 1940. Reprint Printing Unknown. Hardcover. Near Fine/Good. 1940 early reprint of the FIrst Edition (no indication of edition on copyright page). Original tan buckram with gilt lettering front and spine, red title patch spine with gilt lettering. Original dust jacket present with publisher's price of $3.50 still present on jacket flap corner. The book is in very clean, sharp condition, tiny amount of fading to spine, no rubbing, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, solid binding, no foxing, complete with all pages and photo plates. The original dust jacket has rubbing along spine edges and corner tips, 2cm closed tear at top of spine, two tiny 5mm tears bottom edge rear, sunning to spine, complete with original price present on flap corner. The book measures 221mm tall x 143mm, and has 354 pages, 85 b/w photos, 2 maps, EP maps, index. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
