Waxwork by Peter Lovesey. This British first edition first printing (dated 1978) has been rebound by the Scorpion Press in a run of twelve lettered copies. It contains a new introduction, signed by the author and was issued in 2020 with a photo of Detective Sergent Cribb (played by actor Alan Dobie) and is also signed by him. Waxwork was screened on British TV in 1980-81. Wawork is the last and darkest of the Cribb books set in Victorian times.
The binding is real leather with five raised bands, gold titling and the scorpion logo at the base of the spine. The sides are marbled papers, designed in blue and gold with a blue top edge to the book block.
