London, B. Pollock, 73 Hoxton Street, Hoxton, (1880).. Circa 1880, approximately 170 x 220 mm, 6¾ x 8¾ inches, 7 hand coloured sheets as required: 2 plates of characters, 3 plates of scenes, and 2 wings, plus original booklet with play and stage directions: 165 x 105 mm, 6½ x 4 inches, no wrappers called for, 16 pages of text including covers. Small faint pink smudge to background of first sheet, another very small to upper margin of Wings No.1, the rest all clean and bright, sign on lower cover of booklet next to spine that it had at some time been stuck in an album, no loss of text, otherwise very clean. A very good plus complete set of sheets and with rare booklet. The play or ballad opera by Charles Dibdin was first performed in 1774 at the Haymarket and juvenile drama versions of it were issued by Skelt, Green and Redington before Pollock acquired his business from Redington in 1876.
