About This Item
Conroy's second book, a chronicle of his experience teaching on Yamacraw Island off the coast of South Carolina, and the source for the movie Conrack. Slight paper scrape on the top edge near the spine, with a bit of fading at the same spot to the red top stain, thus near fine in very good dw with a light dampstain at the upper corner of the front panel and another on the faded spine, where Conroy's name is just about obliterated. That being said, the book is SIGNED by Conroy on the title page, and is increasingly difficult to find in the true 1st edition.
Synopsis
Pat Conroy is the bestselling author of The Water is Wide, The Great Santini, The Lords of Discipline, The Prince of Tides, Beach Music, and My Losing Season . He lives in Fripp Island, South Carolina.
