About This Item

Boston: Little, Brown & Company, (1981). First Edition. Hardcover. As with a number of copies we have seen, the headband is poorly manufactured but does not affect the integrity of the book and, needless to say, goes unnoticed by most. There's a light remainder stripe at the top edge which someone has partly and neatly whited out; the dustwrapper is crisp with a small and faint sticker shadow on the front and very light soiling at the rear. Still a Near Fine copy in a Near Fine dustwrapper. Boyle's second book and first novel, recounting the travels of eighteenth century Scottish explorer, Mungo Park, in West Africa.
