Uncommon First Edition [Macmillan, 1966] of one of Australian Literature's great books, printed in UK for Australian market [hence $3.15 intact on front flap]. Navy cloth boards with silver title on spine; pink & purple dustjacket; some minor bumps and chips to extremities; a little rubbed but an excellent copy overall. Harrower's fourth and finest novel is a psychologically harrowing portrayal of domestic abuse.
