About This Item
New York: Harper & Brothers, 1881. First Edition. Near Fine. First American edition, first printing. Bound in publisher's dark olive cloth stamped in black and gilt, with brown coated endsheets. Near Fine with light rubbing at edges, two small abrasions to the front pastedown where perhaps a bookplate was removed, former owner inscription to first blank and first several leaves creased, pages toned and sporadically foxed. A sharp and bright copy, in much nicer condition than is normally found.
