Dundee, London, Montreal: Valentine & Sons, Ltd, n.d. [19--]. Hardcover. Good. illustrations, (24) unnumbered pages. Shaped book featuring a rocker edge along bottom above which is the title. Above that is a tomahawk-brandishing Indian brave in full headdress astride a galloping horse. The upper portion of the shaped book outlines the brave and horse. Approximately 24 x 20cm. Book worn around edges but not too badly. Text still bound in but the contents are separating from the cover at the staples. Former owner's name and address written on the back which is otherwise blank except for an inked line forming a border around most of the edge. Valentine's Rocker Books B224. Also identified as Valentine's Book Toys. This uncommon shaped book tells the story of a young Blackfoot Indian named Black Elk. His father is captured by the Sioux Indians and then bravely rescued by Black Elk.
